Amy Edelstein is the author of The Conscious Classroom: the Inner Strength System™ for Transforming the Teenage Mind and founder of the Inner Strength Foundation, a non-profit that brings mindfulness and systemic thinking programs to over 3800 high school students in Philadelphia. She began her own contemplative practice as a high school student in 1978, then went on to an adult career researching, writing, practicing, and teaching meditation and the transformative potential in a process oriented-worldview. Starting Feb 6th Amy will be offering an 8-week online training program in the Fundamentals of Mindfulness to give meditators, teachers, parents, counselors, social workers and other caring adults the basic tools of teaching mindfulness in a developmental context to high school students.
