Moving Onwards Forward: An Advent message from Ilia Delio

“If God has already come to us,
What are we waiting for?
What you are looking for has already arrived.”

Open My Heart – Chant from the Omega Center Conference  – July 2018

Presenters Matthew Wright and Brie Stoner opened our Omega Center conference with this simple chant “Open My Heart” by composer Ana Hernandez.
Brie opens by explaining how the vibrational quality of chant can open our hearts, and then Matthew guides the group into the chant and the “gift of your breath, arriving in this place, in these bodies, in this moment.”

A Hunger for Wholeness – December 2017

“The path forward is the path inward, and that path belongs to all religious traditions. If we can meet one another on that path of the inner spirit, the path of the inner mystic, the path of the cosmic heart, we will come to a new planetization, a new Oneness.”  ~ Ilia Delio

In this short video [5:49 min] Ilia Delio, OSF, PhD, Franciscan Sister from Washington, DC, American theologian and prolific author, talks about our need to create an interior universe, in an introduction to her forthcoming book, A Hunger for Wholeness: On Soul, Space and Transcendence (available April 2018).

In this video presentation, hosted at National Presbyterian Church in Washington DC, Ilia Delio shares her thoughts about “The Universe Within”. Finding our place in the world is a challenging task. Ilia explores the inner universe and the role of consciousness, elaborating on the insights of modern science and the tradition of the mystics. In part 1 of the presentation Ilia offers a context for the evolutionary process, as well as some responses to audience questions. Part 2 begins with a brief introduction to Centering Prayer followed by a more in depth presentation on the “inner universe.”

“God, Evolution and the Power of Love”

Courtesy of the Church of Conscious Harmony, Austin TX,  January 2017

In this video presentation Ilia Delio will consider the relationship between science and religion and the paradigm shifts that produced a separation between these areas. In addition she explores the impact of core theological doctrines in light of the root reality of love. Questions raised include “Where are we going and how will we get there?” Today we are realizing the essential role of consciousness in the shape of reality. What is the impact of consciousness in regard to artificial intelligence and the need to regain the interior dimension of Cosmic life?

The Ignation Lecture (2014)

Rethinking Catholicity in an Evolving World:  Is the universe ‘catholic’? Sensitive to our world of religious pluralism, this lecture focuses on catholicity as a dynamic principle of attraction or ‘whole-making’ that marks the Big Bang cosmos, biological evolution, and religious evolutionary consciousness, and which breaks open in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Dr. Delio will discuss the meaning of Jesus in light of evolution and the relationship between catholicity and Christogenesis through the work of Teilhard de Chardin. (1:40:22)
