“Christ the Evolver” is a piece influenced by the life of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and the concept of the third, and cosmic nature, of Christ. The piece attempts to reimagine one of the oldest Christian icons, the Christ Pantocrator of St. Catherine’s monastery, within the context of the evolutionary mysticism of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin through the artistic process of digitally composite art.

Ryan’s love for Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is only rivaled by his passion for assisting people on their journeys through the wilderness that is a life of faith that weds critical thinking with deep and meaningful practice.
He is a self described good ol’boy from the back woods of Alabama and aspirant theologian who currently lives in Flagstaff, Arizona where he works to curate experimental faith gatherings for 20-30 somethings for the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Ryan is a life long self-directed learner, avid reader, and current student of The Center For Action and Contemplation’s Living School with Richard Rohr.
